Privacy & confidential notice
This notice covers email correspondence with FLP Legal, the way we handle your personal information, and the safeguards we ask you to take when you share details with us through The Settle.
Email disclaimer
Emails from FLP Legal (including all attachments) may contain personal information and are intended for the named recipients only. They may contain privileged and confidential information. If you are not an intended recipient, you must not print, copy, distribute or take any action in reliance on the email, the information in it, or any attachments.
If you have received an email from us in error, please notify FLP Legal immediately by reply email or by telephone on (07) 3015 2070 and delete the email, its contents, and any associated attachments.
Any personal information in email from us must be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (C’th). Emails may be interfered with, may contain computer viruses or other defects, and may not be successfully replicated on other systems. Family Law Planning Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any loss, damage or consequence resulting directly or indirectly from use of any attached file. If you have any doubts about the authenticity of an email purportedly sent by FLP Legal, please contact us immediately on (07) 3015 2070.
Cyber-security warning
Due to the increase in fraudulent activity in Australia relating to the transfer of funds, we strongly recommend you contact our office via telephone to confirm bank account details before depositing any monies, as a cyber-security measure.

Microsoft Teams, AI notes
When using Microsoft Teams meeting features, AI technology may be utilised to automatically generate transcriptions and/or summaries of discussions. FLP Legal retains full control over the content of these summaries and can review and edit them if necessary.
The Settle
The Settle is the education and disclosure companion built by FLP Legal and Coastal Advice. Anything you enter into the disclosure engine, your story, or the document vault is stored against your account and visible only to you and authorised FLP staff supporting your matter. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.
We take privacy seriously and ensure all data collected is handled in accordance with our standard privacy practices. If you would like further information, please contact our office.
